Greg Ryan, Sr. is the founder and Research & Development Head for PTG. He is the inventor of PTG’s patented process and has been responsible for new innovations to the technology since its inception. Greg is also part of the Sales team responsible for Northern California and the central valley.

Greg started numerous businesses in his over 50 years as an avid entrepreneur. He first became interested in power when he designed, financed and built his own 1 Megawatt hydroelectric power plant on his Oregon ranch in 1982. Being involved in ranching and having lived in the central valley, Greg is keenly aware of, and working to address, the water crisis in California. This work  should benefit many other states and countries facing water shortages. Several years ago, Greg founded the California Recycled Water Initiative as a public forum to support water reuse and increase  agricultural water supplies.

Greg graduated from the California State University at Fresno in 1957 with a Bachelors of Arts Degree. In his spare time he grows Napa’s most beautiful begonias and he has several acres of wine grapes in the Valley.
